Painkuni Festival is celebrated annually in Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple, in Thiruvananthapuram. The main ritual of this festival is the hoisting of a ceremonial flag, called kodiyettu. After this, gigantic fibre-glass figures of Pandavas are placed at the eastern entrance of the temple.
